I'm looking into Cyprus's personal taxes—are there any hidden nuances that aren't often discussed?

Hi! I'm currently actively studying the Cyprus tax system for individuals and want to understand it not only in theory but also in practice. I'm interested in a detailed analysis: how exactly income tax works, what rates and thresholds there are, how tax residency is taken into account (the 183-day and 60-day rules), and what benefits are actually applicable, for example, to new residents or foreign specialists.

When I first began studying a detailed overview of taxes in Cyprus for individuals, I also thought everything was simple—progressive rates and standard rules. But with practice, I realized that there are indeed nuances that aren't always immediately apparent until you encounter them firsthand. First, there are tax residency rules: to be subject to tax on worldwide income, you must meet certain residency requirements in the country, and this affects what income you declare and how benefits are calculated.
